How it works

Suppressor Cover

  1. 1MeasureMeasure the outside diameter and required covered length of the suppressor.
  2. 2SelectChoose the FIELDGUARD size matching the suppressor's outside diameter (see Fit Guide).
  3. 3TrimUse the integrated 0.39 in cutting guides to trim the cover to the required length.
  4. 4FitLubricate lightly, then stretch/slide the cover over the suppressor and ensure a secure, snug fit.
Before you start: Always remove the suppressor from the firearm before installing the cover.
Stage 1

Cutting the cover to size

Tools: sharp knife/blade, hard cutting surface, straight edge (e.g. ruler or credit card).

Place the suppressor and cover side by side, mark the cover at the correct cutting notch, and ensure the mark is straight before cutting. Use a controlled, guillotine-style cut with a sharp blade for a clean edge. Scissors are not recommended — they can leave an uneven or damaged edge.

Stage 2

Fitting the cover

A lubricant makes installation easier — cooking oil, silicone spray, baby oil, hand sanitiser, dishwashing liquid or soapy water all work. The more the cover needs to stretch, the more lubricant to use.

Slide the logo end toward the front of the suppressor, positioning the cover approximately 0.08–0.12 in behind the front edge, evenly fitted all round. For suppressors with deep grooves or raised features: wrap a thin layer of electrical tape over the uneven area first, then lubricate and fit as normal.

Care: Don't cut with a damaged or blunt blade; avoid sharp objects that could puncture the cover; let it cool before handling after heat exposure; inspect regularly for wear.

Scope / Optics Cover

  1. 1MeasureMeasure the outside diameter of your scope or binocular's objective lens end at its widest point.
  2. 2SelectChoose the FIELDGUARD size matching that diameter (see Fit Guide) — Small fits most eyepieces, Medium most 1.57 in lenses, Large 1.97–2.20 in lenses.
  3. 3FitSlip the cover over the lens end and press it down evenly until it seats snugly with no gaps — no cutting required.
Before you start: Confirm at least 0.06 in clearance between the objective lens and the barrel so the cover can seat without touching the glass.
Stage 1

Checking clearance & sizing

Tools: tape measure or vernier caliper.

Measure the outside diameter of the scope or binocular barrel at the objective lens end. Match it to the size chart — Small 1.50–1.77 in, Medium 1.81–2.20 in, Large 2.24–2.76 in — and confirm there's at least 0.06 in of clearance between the lens and the barrel. If you're between sizes, order a combo pack (Small + Medium or Small + Large) to test the fit.

Stage 2

Fitting and removing the cover

Slide the open end of the cover over the objective lens end, low-glare side facing out, and press it down evenly until it sits flush against the barrel with no gaps.

To remove, grip the base of the cover and peel it back and off — avoid pulling from the tip, which can stress the silicone.

Care: FIELDGUARD shields your optic from rain, snow and sun — it is not waterproof, impact-proof or a substitute for a hard case. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and avoid sharp edges that could tear the silicone.
